Authors are invited to make a submission to this journal. All submissions will be assessed by an editor to determine whether they meet the aims and scope of this journal. Those considered to be a good fit will be sent for peer review before determining whether they will be accepted or rejected.

Before making a submission, authors are responsible for obtaining permission to publish any material included with the submission, such as photos, documents and datasets. All authors identified on the submission must consent to be identified as an author. Where appropriate, research should be approved by an appropriate ethics committee in accordance with the legal requirements of the study's country.

An editor may desk reject a submission if it does not meet minimum standards of quality. Before submitting, please ensure that the study design and research argument are structured and articulated properly. The title should be concise and the abstract should be able to stand on its own. This will increase the likelihood of reviewers agreeing to review the paper. When you're satisfied that your submission meets this standard, please follow the checklist below to prepare your submission.

1. How to Write the Title, the Name, and the Authors’ Address

The title of the manuscript should be on the top of the first page with the  text alignment. Meanwhile, the author’s name, affiliation, and address should be mentioned at the manuscript and not exceed than 5 authors while the email is only mentioned for the corresponding author. Communication regarding the article revision and the final statement will be informed via email to the all authors. It is suggested that the authors collaborate with researchers from diverse countries.

2. The Manuscript General Guidelines

The manuscript text general guidelines are as follows:

1. The manuscript is the authentic research result that has not been published or has been being submitted in other publication media or publishing houses.
2. The manuscript does not contain any plagiarism element. To check the possibility of plagiarism, please use the Turnitin application. It must be below 20%. The editorial board will directly reject the text that indicates plagiarism.
3. The manuscript article writing guidelines and 2023 template can be downloaded at the home page of the Journal of Community and Environmental Health Epidemiology website and are available in MS Word (*.doc/*.docx) format.
4. The manuscript should contain several aspects of a scientific article namely: (1) Title of the article, (2) Abstract and the keywords, (3) Introduction, (4) Method (5) Discussion (6) Conclusion (7) Acknowledgment.(8) References.
5. The subtitles included in the discussion part (Introduction, Methods, Discussion, Conclusion, Acknowledgment and References.) should be written in the bold and title case format. It uses the left text alignment without underline. The next expanded subtitles should also be typed in bold with the same format using the left text alignment.
6. The manuscript must be in English with the standard language. The body of paper must be elaborated between 4500 - 7.000 words including abstract, references and footnotes and written in Garamond font 12 with single line spacing. The article is on Letter-sized papers A4 with custom margins as follows: left 2,54 cm, right 2,54 cm, bottom 2,54 cm and top 2,5 cm.
7. The words from uncommon or foreign languages are in Italic format. Each paragraph starts 10 mm from the left side border and there is no space among paragraphs.
8. The tables, figures, and other visualization instruments are placed in the text group. Each must be given a title and a caption below them and be numbere followed by the figure or table title above it. The attachment should be guaranteed well printable (font size, resolution, and line space are clearly seen) and is placed in the center between text groups. If it has a bigger size, it can be placed in the center of page.

3. The Guidelines for the Manuscript Body Text

The title of the manuscript: Title describes the problems expressed which written shortly, concisely and clearly, not more than 14 words, by Capitalize each word, Align Text, Garamond, 18 size - font, Bold Letters.

Abstract: The abstract must contain 150--250 words that consist of 2-3 sentences about the purpose; 1-2 sentences about contribution; 2-3 sentences about the method; 4-5 sentences about the result; and 1-2 sentences about conclusions (10pt).

Keywords: The keywords are written in italic letter, no more than 5 word which written in the tittle.

Introduction: This page explains the background and purpose of this study. It is important to provide a statement about the scientific novelty through a review of previous literature from several researchers or studies. This is also intended to identify the research gaps of this article. Additionally, legal issues or legal matters related to the research are also an important element of the article that must be clearly stated.

Methods: The Methods section contains enough information to allow readers to understand what was done practically. Avoid providing overly lengthy conceptual explanations about the meaning of a particular method, approach, or type of research. Instead, emphasize explanations about the types of methods, approaches used, as well as how data was obtained and analyzed. This is also a space where the author, if necessary, can explain the reasons for choosing a particular theoretical framework for the research they are conducting.

Discussion: Discussion should be written in same part and made in line with the research  objectives in the subheading  and writing flow. They should be presented continuously starting from main result until supporting results and equipped with further discussion. Discussion section should cover basic principles ranging from analytic, implicative, interpretative, constructive, to comparative. Figures, Tables, and other visualization (if any) should be put in the same part of this section and should be made available for editors to edit. If authors provide any relevant picture, make sure it is in high resolution. Although both result and discussion are writen in the same part, it has to be clear between what the data tells and how it relates to the wider relevant discussion or relevant current theoretical framework.

Conclusion: Instead of replicating any part from Abstract or Result and Discussion section, this part simply states what the authors think the data implies and means, and, as such, should relate directly back to the problem/question of the article in regard to the wider discussion of the theme. Limitiation of the current study as well as suggestion for further relevant research should also be mentioned here. This section should neither offer any reasons for those particular conclusions—as it should have been presented in the Discussion section. By only looking at the Introduction and Conclusions sections, a reader should have a good idea of what the researcher has investigated,  discovered, and contributed even though the specific details of would not be simply known.

Acknowledgment: Authors might express appreciation and gratitude for physical and moral help during the writing process of the article since the data compilation to the publication. This is valid for both persons and institution, such as respondents or funding provider.  

References: The references of the manuscript must be up to date (in the last of 5 to 10 years and minimum). At minimum, there used 30 references that 40% of them are from primary sources/reputable academic journals) accessible by everyone. Authors are responsible for ensuring that the information in each reference is complete and accurate. All references should be cited within the text; otherwise, these references will be automatically removed. Writing bibliography should use reference manager application as Mendeley or Zotero using Chicago Manual of Style 17th edition.

4. The Guidelines for Literature Reviews, Citations and References

Authors are suggested to cite several articles from Journal of Community and Environmental Health Epidemiology. All the presented data or quotes should attach the reference sources. The references and literature review should use Mendeley reference application manager. The writing format in Journal of Community and Environmental Health Epidemiology follows the format applied by Chicago Manual Citation Style:17th Ed.

5. The Online Submission Manuscript Guidelines

The manuscript text submission must be through these following steps:

1. Firstly, register as either an author or reviewer.
2. After the registration step is completed, log in as author then click at “New Submission” column. The article submission stage consists of five stages, namely: (1). Start, (2). Upload Submission, (3). Enter Meta data, (4). Upload Supplementary Files, (5). Confirmation.
3. In the “Start” column, choose Journal Section (Full Article) and check all the checklists.
4. In the “Upload Submission” column, upload the manuscript files in MS. Word format.
5. In the “Enter Metadata” column, fill in with all of the author data and affiliation, including the Journal Title, Abstract, Keywords and References.
6. In the “Upload Supplementary Files” column, upload supplementary files.
7. In the “Confirmation” column, click “Finish Submission” if the data entered are all correct.
